The Mixed Tournament this evening was so exciting - especially with those bonus goals. Well done to all teams who took part. Also a HUGE thank you to all the umpires who have given up their time this season to allow the Mixed Netball League and tournaments to go ahead.

Accies Arrows travelled to Bognor Regis to take part in the SCI U14 Netball Tournament with the squad staying and enjoying the facilities at Butlins! Players enjoyed ‘off time’ at the funfayre and at a pool party as the Butlins’ site was taken over by netballers from U11 age groups and up!

Accies Arrows faced 8 other teams in their tournament playing most twice. The squad played 7 games on Day One (Saturday) and a further 5 games on the Sunday to find out who would qualify for the finals. They finished 2nd overall and played a final against 1st place but were not able to win the final game. The Squad played 12 games plus the final. They won 8, drew 1 and lost 3 and lost the final.
The games they lost they got at least half the winning score apart from in the final.

Coach Taryn Perkins said afterwards “I am incredibly proud of the whole squad who worked so hard and kept each other inspired throughout the many matches. We have all had a fun weekend celebrating the end of a great 2016/2017 Season at Butlin’s, and to come home with the Runner’s Up Trophy is fantastic. Well done to the winner’s Red Dragons who were a well drilled side.”

Squad: Abbie Taylor, Abbie Thompson, Alyshia Whitworth, Gabby Scott (Co-Captain), Honor Daniels, Isabella Valeur-Adu, Kaitlyn Gilbert, Lena Holden, Maddie Somay, Natacha Searson (Co-Captain)

Coaches: Taryn Perkins and Danny Simon

Thank you to Jersey Netball Association, sponsored by Dominion in association with One Foundation and M&S St Peter who allowed us to do a bag pack for fundraising.

Congratulations to M&Ms who have won the Mixed League First Division for 2017 and also PS1 winners of the 2nd Division. The 2nd Division winners had to wait until the last week to confirm their placing. Well done to all the teams who took part this season and good luck for your participation in the Tournament on Wednesday 12th July
